Mothering, Together

Hi, I’m Amanda! I work with parents -primarily mothers- to navigate the complex or overwhelming parts of raising kids. I provide virtual conversations to help mothers feel more confident, steady, and effective as they do the hard job of navigating challenges, big and small, that come up when raising children.

I have years of experience coaching parents through a whole-child and whole-family lens. Working with me feels like slowly untangling a knot together. No judgment. No one-size-fits-all parenting rules. No long term commitment or intimidating packages. Just a dedicated space to talk things through, learn a few tools, and feel better.

You are in the right place if you need any of the following:

  • A space to talk through those looping worries about your child, or the parenting difficulties that keep coming up and make you feel stuck

  • Help improving how everyday interactions feel to both you and your child - even in the hard moments

  • Support in helping your child build healthy routines, developmental skills, or everyday life skills

  • Guidance tailored to your unique family that feels doable not overwhelming

  • Flexible, virtual conversations that fit your life

  • A one-time call to sort out a specific issue or ongoing support as needed

A low pressure space for practical parenting tools and support.

About me

I’m Amanda. I’m a mom of two young boys who also happens to have spent the better part of a decade working alongside families navigating the hard, beautiful, heroic, and exhausting work of raising children.

My background is in Speech-Language Pathology. I received my Master’s degree at Northern Arizona University, fell in love with early childhood during an internship at a pediatric play clinic in Oregon, and spent years working in Northwestern Wisconsin as an SLP across outpatient clinics, schools, and Birth to 3 programs. That last one changed me and my work in a big way. Working inside B-3 deepened my knowledge of child development, and it’s where I first discovered how much I loved working with parents, not just children.

From there, I transitioned into mental health based programs, where I provided parent coaching and skill development to families focused on improving emotional health and overall wellbeing. That work brought me closer to what I now consider the heart of what I do: working with parents to make sense of their children and find more peace themselves. Whether that’s addressing developmental concerns, behavioral struggles, or just the everyday emotional texture of family life. I’m so grateful to be doing this work. Mothers feeling more steady, seen, and supported matters more than I can express.

What to Expect

How to start:

Simply send me an email to get started!

I offer a free 15 minute call to see if we are a good fit, or we can jump right into scheduling your first 60 minute session.

I’ll provide you a short form to fill out about you and your child, so that we can make the most out of our time together. Sessions are virtual, but can also be done via phone if that feels more comfortable.

Pricing:

Initial sessions are $80, due at the time of booking.

Follow-up sessions are offered on a sliding scale of $65-$75.

If cost feels like a barrier, please reach out. I’m happy to be flexible when possible if it means getting you some support.

How it works:

The first session focuses on gathering information, providing clarity, making sense of your situation, as well as determining some practical next steps. Many people find this alone is helpful.

For others, follow up sessions or regular meetings are helpful to dive deeper, adjust strategies, provide feedback, and continue working through what’s coming up.

Start with one, and continue if it’s helpful.

  • Inquire about a free 15 minute call,

  • Schedule a full 60 minute virtual session, or

  • Share a little bit about what’s been going on

And I’ll guide us from there
